CommUnity is a challenge open to teams of 3-6 from ESW chapters that empowers interdisciplinary student teams to develop solutions to improve access to resources, quality of life, and climate-resistant infrastructure system. We will educate teams in community based learning, guiding them to work collaboratively with organizations to propose solutions to local resiliency challenges.

Design teams will join in a training program with Engineers for a Sustainable World that guides them through the process of forming and working with a community organization and receive mentorship on sustainability and engineering best practices. Proposed solutions should take on the form of a piece of policy, proposal, or strategy, and stem from a collaborative effort with at least one organizational partner.

Current CommUnity participants should navigate here.
